Cai Hocken and his friend, 'Bias Hunken retire from sea-faring and settle down in adjoining cottages in Troy, Cornwall. The Eden is invaded by their landlady, Mrs. Bosenna, who makes amusing rivals of the long time friends. After many incidents, delicious food for the town gossips, the captains are united and peace reigns once more in the woman-less paradise.
