ABOUT BOOK

Scene is laid in Macon, Kentucky, where John Glenning comes to begin practising after a dissastrous experience in the neighboring town of Jericho. He befriends Major Dudley and his daughter whose fortunes all depend on a valuable race horse that Devil Marston, their bitter enemy, is trying to disable. How the doctor defeats Marston and wins Julia Dudley make up the story.
